چکیده
Abstract In this study, it is aimed to characterize the Early pliocene sandstone (EP-SD) and Late Miocene-Early Pliocene Mangaa reservoirs efficiency of their sealing cap rocks using petrographical petrophysical data these zones in northern Taranaki basin, New Zealand. The prospective potential were studied impregnated thin sections, XRD analysis, well log (self-potential, gamma-ray, sonic, density, neutron, shallow\deep resistivity PEF) reservoir zones, addition Mercury intrusion capillary pressure (MICP) check some seals. EP-SD units are typically poorly consolidated very fine siltstone, with porosities averaging 25%. sands composed quartz (38.3–57.4%), common feldspars (9.9–15.2% plagioclase, 2.7–6.3% K-feldspars) up 31.8% mica. Albacore-1 north Basin, formation includes three separate for each (EP-SD1, EP-SD2, EP-SD3), sequence (Mangaa-0, Mangaa-1, Mangaa-2). section studies indicate that, samples grouped into greywackes, arenites siltstone microfacies much lithic fragments feldspars, sometimes glauconite pellets. From data, achieved that mineral composition dominated by quartz, mica/illite, chlorite. investigation revealed absence pay presence zone net thickness 5.79 m hydrocarbon saturation about 25.6%. effective vary between 23.6 27.7%, while shale volume lies 12.3 16.9%. Although content relatively low, high API (50–112 average 75 API) contributed K-feldspar intercalations muddy beds. Sealing include intra-formational seals within sequence, mudstones grained overlying further mudstones, shallower units. indicates capability trap 16.4–40.6 gas or 17.4–43.0 oil which low correlation central parts Basin Overlying primary seals, Giant Foresets Formation provide additional regional seal.

Early Maori settlement impacts in northern coastal Taranaki, New Zealand
Pollen and charcoal analyses of sediments from northern coastal Taranaki, New Zealand, show that Maori settlement impacts on the vegetation began with the burning of tall coastal forest in the mid-17th century. Forest was replaced with a fern-shrubland, and small wetlands expanded with changing hydrological conditions. This forest clearance was much later than in most regions of the country, wh...
متن کاملon the comparison of keyword and semantic-context methods of learning new vocabulary meaning
the rationale behind the present study is that particular learning strategies produce more effective results when applied together. the present study tried to investigate the efficiency of the semantic-context strategy alone with a technique called, keyword method. to clarify the point, the current study seeked to find answer to the following question: are the keyword and semantic-context metho...

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
Fault Visualization Enhancement Using Ant Tracking Technique and Its Application in the Taranaki Basin, New Zealand
The ant tracking technique has been widely used in fault interpretation. However, the reliability of the results is highly dependent on appropriately choosing signal processing method and volume attributes. In our study area, which lies in the southern Taranaki Basin, we applied Graphic Equalizer as the processing tool and the Chaos attribute before running the ant tracking algorithm. Results s...
متن کاملComprehensive Studies on Production Data Analysis of Hydrocarbon Reservoirs
A review of field production data reveals that usually, it is very difficult to apply available decline models because of poor quality and often noisy character of initial data and also unrealistic assumptions of the models. This paper tries to introduce applicable procedures to correct initial data and reproduce missed data. Corrected data are analyzed and finally, the results for permeability...
